v Schonhaven-Himmlisch Preston goes by the name of Preston. The theme of the litter is fine china. . .and we selected Preston Lloyd. Not having room for Lloyd in the AKC registered name, he is just Preston.
He was born in Bellingham Washington. The bedroom where he was born has a view of Puget Sound, gateway to the Pacific Ocean.

Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Flatirons Kennel Club show in Longmont, Colorado, Preston made his debut in the conformation ring at 8 months old. He was awarded Winners Dog for a 3 point major
under Mrs. Barbara Dempsey Alderman in the pouring rain!
Friday, July 7, 2005 at the Channel City Kennel Club show in Ventura, California, Preston made his west coast debut in the conformation ring at 9 months old. He was awarded Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 5 point major under Ms. Jane Roppolo.
Saturday, July 8, 2005 at the Santa Maria Kennel Club, Inc. show in Ventura, California, Preston was Best of Opposite Sex at the Standard Schnauzer Club of Southern California Sweepstakes. His sister "Nell" (Von Schonhaven's Lenox) was Best in Sweepstakes. The judge was Mrs. Patricia (Pat) Hastings, well known puppy evaluator and author of "Tricks of the Trade". Preston then took first place in the puppy 9-12 month class under judge Mr. Ronald R. Krohne.
Sunday, July 9, 2005 at the Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association show in Ventura, California, Preston took 4th place during the SSCA Specialty Sweepstakes and 2nd place in the 9 to 12 month class.

Saturday, September 3, 2005 - Preston's third weekend out - he went Best of Winners under judge Mrs. Robert D. Smith for a 4 point major at the Cheyenne Kennel Club shows in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Preston now has 12 points - all majors. He was also Best Puppy in breed to go on to puppy group later that afternoon. There were a total of twelve in the puppy group, and under judge Mrs. Catherine Anderson, Preston was awarded a Puppy Group 3. He also won a beautiful dog house cookie jar which we promptly filled with cookies. We are very proud of Mr. P !

Preston (20 months old) graduated from his first obedience/pre-agility class at Soft Paws Obedience in Lafayette, Colorado on May 31, 2006.

Preston is a daddy ! On January 6-7, 2007 CH Cedar Hills Pajama Games "PJ" delivered a litter of 8 puppies (3 males and 5 females). Preston is VERY proud of his first litter !
Preston became an International Champion on March 25, 2007 at the Rocky Mountain Spring Sieger in Loveland, Colorado. He received four V-1 rankings, four Best of Breed wins, 2 group two wins, 1 group one win, and a BEST IN SHOW !
Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Flatirons Kennel Club show in Longmont, Colorado, Preston made his debut as a special. He was Best of Breed with an entry of 7 Standard Schnauzers - including 3 specials !
We traveled to Valparaiso, Indiana for the SSCA National Specialty and corresponding shows June 21 - 24, 2007. Preston made the cut in the specials ring two of the four days. . . including the day of the National Specialty (making one of my dreams come true - the cut at a National!). Preston is a daddy ! Puppies born July 25, 2007 - CH Shana Your The Apple Of My Eye "Crispin". This was a frozen semen litter of 3 (1 male and 2 females). Preston is extremely proud of his second litter !
Preston became a National Champion on August 4, 2007 at the Laramie Summer Sieger in Laramie, Wyoming. He received four V-1 rankings, four Best of Breed wins, 2 group two wins, and 2 group three wins ! After finishing the National Championship, Preston was moved into the Ehrenklasse (honor class) where he needs only one more V-1 ranking for that championship title.
Preston is a daddy ! On November 9, 2007 CH Cedar Hills Pajama Games "PJ" delivered a litter of 7 puppies (3 males and 4 females). Preston is VERY proud of his third litter !
Preston has his first champion offspring! On November 18, 2007 - Cedar Hills Deb's Dyna Wide Glide "Dyna" (from the first Preston X PJ litter born 01/06/07) completed her championship undefeated in 5 shows with 4 majors and 17 points !
February 15 - 18, 2008 - Preston attends the Plum Creek and Colorado Kennel Club (CKC) Shows in Denver, Colorado. He was Best of Breed the first three days and Best of Opposite the last day. On Sunday CKC hosted Owner/Handled Groups and Preston took a GROUP 2 !!! His daughter Greta makes her ring debut at the shows.
Preston earns two new International Championship titles (Ehrenklasse and Ehrenchampionatsklasse) on March 1 and 2, 2008 at the 2008 Rocky Mountain Winter Sieger in Loveland, Colorado. He received four V-1 rankings, four Best of Breed wins, 2 GROUP ONE wins, and 1 GROUP TWO win ! Preston then went on to win the GOLD CUP BEST IN SHOW . . . and . . . BEST IN SHOW for show 4. Preston is the first Standard Schnauzer to win a Gold Cup Best in Show !!!
March 29 and 30, 2008 - Preston attends the Scottsbluff Kennel Club (CKC) Shows in Mitchell, Nebraska. He was Best of Breed both days!!!
May 10-11, 2008 - Preston attends the Rio Grande Kennel Club shows in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was Best of Breed both days with an entry of 13 Standard Schnauzers! Preston also took a GROUP 3 on Saturday under Dr. Ralph Graff!!!
May 24-25, 2008 - Prairieland Standard Schnauzer Club Regional Specialty weekend
during the Illinois Valley KC Club of Peoria and Corn Belt KC Club shows - Bloomington, IL
On Saturday, Preston was Best of Breed the day before the Regional Specialty. There was an entry of 29 Standard Schnauzers!! Preston went on to take a GROUP 2 !!!
On Sunday, at the Regional Specialty, Preston was awarded Stud Dog with the help of his two beautiful girls Cedar Hills Darling Greta "Greta" AND Cedar Hills Enchanted Yellow Rose "Ellie" (both Preston and PJ daughters).

July 6, 2008 - Preston and Madison are parents - 4 boys and 3 girls !
