As per AKC regulations, the pause table is 36 ±2 inches square. The table height can be 8", 12", 16", 20", or 24" high based on the height class that your dog runs in. The table has a 3 inch lip between the edge of the table and the PVC pipe. The table for the 16" height weighs 35 pounds [15.875 Kg]


The pause table can be modified such that it can be used as an end table. For example, a high grade of oak or maple plywood could be used for the top and stained with a deep rich oil stain. The base could be elongated and a coffee table is generated. Of course, in each instance the white PVC should be painted an appropriate color.

The AKC is implementing a new height class at 4". For the 2" pipe used here, the lower table support is not necessary. The half inch plywood plus the 2" Ts give a total height of 4.5".

The legs are not glued or screw onto the bases. The PVC pipe fits fairly secure so that glue or screws are not required. Also just in case you may want to transport the table, you can easily dis-assemble it.
