The AKC has no rules or regulations for this piece of hardware. The design intent of the funnel is, as its name implies, to funnel the dog into you or an obstacle. For instance, the funnel can be used to:

• steer or guide the dog to you on a recall
• steer or guide the dog to enter the weave poles on the correct side
• steer or guide the dog when approaching a contact obstacle

The frame of the funnel is ½" PVC pipe. The side is a 4' piece of plastic panel that is 7 ¾" high.
